Configuring the Web Browser

Different browsers can be used to display browser-based components of the X4 BPMS (see X4 System Requirements 7.4.4). The browser used can be specified in the X4 BPMS.

1. Open Tools> Options.

2. On the left side, choose General > Web Browser to open the browser.
   

3. Choose one of the defined browsers or click New.

4. If New was clicked:

   • Name: Display name of the browser configuration

   • Location: File system path to the browser

   • Parameters: Parameters that are to be used when the browser is called.

     To use Microsoft Edge the following must be entered:

     Location: File system path to Microsoft prompt, e.g. C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe

     Parameters: /c "start microsoft-edge:%URL%"

5. Confirm the settings with OK.

6. Click Apply and Close to save the configuration and close the window.
