The first time you launch the X4 Designer and connect it to the X4 Server, you will be prompted to install a valid license.
Note:
You can Request a free trial license from the SoftProject website. For a live system, use the license provided by the SoftProject support team.
How to install a license
Prerequisites

The X4 Server has been started.

Keycloak has been started.

You have received a valid license.

Click the
If you have not installed a license yet, a dialog opens. -
Click Install license….

Select your X4 license file and click Open.
✅ Your X4 license is now installed. You can see how long your current license is valid in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
