Migrationstool

Note:

Before installing and using the migration tool for the BAM Log Adapter, you must have migrated your X4 BPMS version from 6.x to version 7.3.1. After successful migration of your X4 BPMS version, you can install and use the BAM Log Adapter and its migration tool.

The migration tool is only required if your processes from version 6.x use BAM Logging.

Projects with previous versions of the BAM Log Adapter can further be used after migrating the adapter and the processes using the adapter. 

How to migrate the projects using the BAM Log Adapter:

  1. Download the BAM Log Adapter. The .zip file contains the BAM Log Adapter, documentation, and the Migration Tool.

  2. Unzip the .zip file and copy the MigrationToolBAMfolder to the workspace you are using on the X4 server: <server directory>\X4DB\1

  3. To load the processes from the MigrationToolBAM folder, perform a server-side refresh of the repository using  image2023-6-7_14-55-13.png  Repository Refresh.

  4. Run the MigrationTool.wrf process. 
    If previous versions of the BAM Log Adapter are used, the ReplaceAdapter.wrf and ReplaceProcess.wrf subprocesses are triggered.
    After successful execution of the processes, all processes using a previous version of the BAM Log Adapter are updated.

  5. Perform a server-side refresh of the repository using  image2023-6-7_14-55-13.png  Repository Refresh to update all previous BAM Log Adapter versions in the Adapter folders of the relevant projects.
    All previous BAM Log Adapter versions in the Adapter folders of the relevant projects are updated.
