X4 BPM

What is a BPM Project?

A BPM (Business Project Management) Project is a project type within X4 BPMS that allows you to visualize and model business processes according to the BPMN 2.0 notation standard. BPM Projects contain a predefined folder structure where you can create any number of business processes (BPM Processes *.bpm).

How can I use BPM Projects?

In X4 Designer, within a BPM Project, you can graphically model one or more business processes (BPM Processes *.bpm).

The business process can be represented with different process modules. These can be dragged and dropped into the drawing area and linked to Technical Processes.

In the case of more complex company processes, overarching business processes can be orchestrated in a process landscape (file extension *.pld) and thus visualized graphically in a clear manner. However, process landscapes are only used for visualization and cannot be executed. A BPM Project can contain only one process landscape, but any number of business processes (*.bpm).
