Non-Interrupting Intermediate Event

Non-interrupting intermediate event: Defines any non-interrupting intermediate event within a Business Process according to BPMN 2.0 and allows to differentiate between several event types. In contrast to intermediate events, non-interrupt Intermediate events do not interrupt the processing of the bearer activity; the path initiated by the event is activated and executes parallelly.

Non-Interrupting Intermediate Events are only available within the BPMN Editor's so called Free-flow mode. The Free-flow mode can be enabled when creating new BPM processes and offers an extended palette. Unlike in default mode, the run/debug function is disabled in free-flow mode. Moreover, the mode cannot be changed afterwards.
