Filtering Process Instances

Use the ALL, ERRORS and ACTIVE radio buttons in the Instance view to filter the list of process instances.

Displays all process instances.

Displays process instances in the ERROR, TERMINATED, or CRASHED state.

Displays process instances in the RUNNING or PAUSED state.

If you select the Filter button in the Instance view, the Filter Process Instances dialog opens. In this dialog, you can set various filter criteria.

Element

Description

By Status

Select which process states to display. If you do not make a selection here, all processes are displayed regardless of status.

By Time Interval

Specify the time period for which process instances are to be displayed.

Possible values:

  • All

  • One hour

  • 24 hours

  • 7 days

  • 30 days

  • Custom Time Interval

By path or ID

Select options to filter by path or process ID.

Possible values:

  • No path or ID filter:
    This is the default setting. This setting does not filter.

  • Select process path :
    Opens a drop-down list with all process paths from the current X4 repository (root folder: X4DB). Only process instances that match the process path are loaded.

  • Enter process path manually :
    Opens the Enter process path text box, which allows you to search for process instances of deleted or renamed processes. Only process instances that match the process path are loaded.

  • Filter by root process ID - Returns all sub-processes of a main process:
    Opens the Process Root ID field. Only process instances that are subprocesses of the main process are displayed.

Cancel

Cancels the definition of filter criteria.

If you have previously set and applied filter criteria, they are retained even if you select Cancel.

Remove

Removes all set filters.

Apply

Applies the selected filter(s).
