Release Notes 7.4.16

Bug fixes

The following bugs have been fixed in Release 7.4.16.

X4 Server

Key

Summary

X4BUG-2318

Xalan-JAR: In X4 BPMS 7.4.x, the old xalan-2.7.0.jar led to critical alerts in security scans. This bug is now fixed. The Xalan dependency has been removed and the JAR file is no longer part of the deployment package.

X4 Adapter

Key

Summary

X4BUG-1954

File System Adapter: In X4 BPMS 7.4.x, the File System Adapter could not run because the de.softproject.x4.adapter.legacy adapters module lacked required dependencies. The org.dom4j and org.apache.commons.io modules were not referenced in the module.xml file, causing class loading errors. This error was fixed by adding the missing dependencies so that the adapter now works correctly without manual adjustments to the module.xml file.

X4BUG-2109

MQ Series Adapter: The adapter database contained two versions of the adapter (extension .tra and extension .fa). The adapter version with the extension .tra is deprecated and has been removed. New adapters can now only be created with the .fa version.

X4 Control Center

Key

Summary

X4BUG-2085

Process Monitor: For many failed process steps, a "–" was displayed instead of a meaningful error message. As a result, users had to switch to the server log to view technical error details. This bug is now fixed. If no detailed error message is available, a meaningful, translatable message is displayed instead of a placeholder (e.g. "Error message cannot be provided").

X4BUG-2098

Process Monitor: In the details view of a process instance, the time was not displayed correctly depending on the time zone. This bug is now fixed. Start and end times are now displayed correctly and consistently in all views of the Process Monitor, regardless of the time zone.

X4BUG-2319

The Support button on the X4 Control Center home page has been on the wrong side. This bug is now fixed. The button refers to the new service portal.

X4BUG-2336

After the migration to X4 BPMS 7.4.x, connections of the IBM MQ Monitoring Adapter remained open significantly longer than in previous versions. As a result, the connection pool of the MQ server was fully utilized and no new connections could be established. This bug is now fixed. Connections are now closed correctly regardless of the lifetime of the thread being used.

X4 Documentation

Key

Summary

X4DOC-341

Grid Component – cleanupEnabled: The path to manually delete saved settings in the browser has been corrected in the online help. The menu path that allows advanced users to clear the settings in the developer tools is now correct: Application > Storage > Session storage.
