How to set case states using End events

End events allow you to set a case state while executing the Business Process. In the Properties view under Case Management > Case State, all process-wide defined process status values are available for selection.

  1. Select the End component in the process.

  2. In the Properties view, under Case Management > Case State select a predefine case state, e.g. IN PROGRESS.

If no value is available for selection in the Case State property, no case state has yet been defined for the business process. You can manage the available process status values next to the value of the Case State property by selecting the three dots to the right of the drop-down list, see Managing Case States.

The case state will be set to the new value. The value is automatically adopted as label for the event.

Alternatively, the case state can be set dynamically via Technical Processes using the Case Management Adapter.
