BPMN Editor

The BPMN Editor allows you to model Business Processes in compliance to the notation standard BPMN 2.0. The editor is similar to the Process Editor within X4 Designer regarding layout and functionality, but differs regarding the process components and symbols in the process diagram.

The BPMN Editor allows you to link your modeled Business Processes directly to Technical Processes. Without switching the development environment, you can model your Business Processes and Technical Processes, and test and execute them on the X4 Server.

Since BPMN processes can contain non-automatable actions, e. g. human workflows, BPMN processes aren't necessarily executable by the X4 Server. BPMN processes may contain technical processes as subprocess tasks, and can be executed.

The free-flow mode additionally allows to use the BPMN Editor as plain BPMN drawing tool with an extended BPMN palette where the run/debug functionality is disabled.
