Copying Global to Project Parameters
Global parameters can be copied to project parameters.
Global parameters are copied to root level, i.e. global parameters from global parameter groups are inserted in the Project Parameter Configuration at root level, i.e. without the group assignment from the Global Parameter Configuration.
Note
Observe the following prioritization when using parameters:
System parameters → Project parameters → Global parameters.
In case of name conflicts, an error message or warning is displayed in the Problems view:
- Error message in case of name conflicts of system and project parameters
- Warning in case of name conflicts of project parameters and global parameters
How to copy global parameters to project parameters
Note
We recommend deleting or rename parameters after the Copy to Project Parameters action:
When a global parameter is copied to the project parameters, two parameters with the same name exist. A warning about this appears in the Problems view.
Having parameters of the same name can however be confusing, for example, when selecting parameters in mappings, conditions, and adapters. Therefore, it is recommended to delete the global parameter or to rename the project parameter.
- In Global Parameter Configuration, select one or more global parameters that you want to add to the project parameters.
- Click
Copy to Project Parameters
. - In the project to which you want to add the global parameters, open the
*.param
file (Project Parameter Configuration). - Click
Paste Global Parameters
to add the global parameters to the project parameters.
The global parameters have now been added to the Project Parameter Configuration.
